PHYSICAL
Beautyrest 12" Silver BRS900 Medium-Firm Mattress - Do not let the cheap prices deceive you at Costco. We originally purchased this mattress for our guest bedroom because we thought the cheaper price reflected the lower quality. We ended up liking this mattress as much as our master bedroom one which was 2x the price. Costco also includes delivery and will take back the mattress if you dont like it.
Tresanti Geller 47” Adjustable Height Desk - I work remote most days and despise sitting still for long periods of time. I love this adjustable height desk. It lets me switch between sitting and standing multiple times per day. It also includes several charging ports on the side and the top surface is glass and allows you to write on it with dry erase markers.
Psychology of Money - This is my favorite book to recommend for folks who are new or early in their investing journey. It is an fun, easy read that distills tons of wisdom in the form of stories. Morgan Housel is an incredible writer. I highly recommend it.
DIGITAL
Recorder App - This app transcribes you as you talk to it. It is perfect for taking notes while walking. It helps me think through ideas and write blogs much faster while I walk and talk through my ideas.
GigaBrain - With Ai generated content flooding Google search results, there is a lot of garbage out there when searching online. Reddit has humans who moderate the results in each of their subreddits. Searching Reddit can be a valuable resource for many research efforts (e.g. which product to buy); however, it is tough to search reddit in the website itself. Searching Reddit is much more efficient through this Reddit-specific search engine.
INVISIBLE
What do you get from loss?" asks Stephen Colbert, discussing grief with Anderson Cooper. "You get awareness of other people's loss, which allows you to connect with that other person, which allows you to love more deeply and understand what it's like to be a human being."
Dealing with grief is never easy, but this video helped me.
